It’s said that you shouldn’t tamper with the classics, yet I suspect that whoever said that has ever attempted this: Bread filled with a rich buttery sauce of garlic and cheese spiced with pepperoni and tomato-based sauce.
With this quick and easy recipe, you can make an effortless starter that is perfect for sharing with all of your favorite delights. One that will win over even the most discriminating food connoisseurs, to boot!
Essentially, this cheese and pepperoni stuffed bread is straightforward because the stuffing doesn’t need to be cooked in advance. Simply combine everything and pour it into the bread loaf that has been emptied.
- Dish Ingredients
- 1 sizable French baguette or Italian bread loaf
- Eight ounces of chilled cream cheese
- Two cups of chopped mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup of pizza sauce along with extra for serving purposes
- An additional ½ cup of parmesan cheese for topping
- 1 tablespoon finely fragmented freshly picked basil
- Half a teaspoon of dried oregano
- Cut and divide half a cup of thick pepperoni slices.
- 4 teaspoons of melted butter
- 4 grated garlic cloves
- Recipe Instructions
- Set your kitchen oven temperature to 350°F.
- Cut the French baguette or Italian bread loaf into four pieces of the same size.
- With a large knife, cut away the interior, leaving a little bread on the outside. To reveal unfilled bread sections, remove the fibrous bread. Put it aside.
- Cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, pizza dressing, parmesan cheese, crushed oregano, basil, and one cup of sliced pepperoni should all be combined in a big bowl. Toss to blend thoroughly.
- Use a wooden spoon to assist with packing the stuffing into the baguette sections as you stuff them with the pizza sauce combination.
- After stuffing the bread with pepperoni and cheese, place it on a chopping board. Arrange the sections so that they nestle together just as they did before the bread is sliced.
- Roughly cut the bread into 1-inch thick slices.
- Cut a length of foil that is around 5 to 6 inches larger than the loaf into pieces. Maintaining their togetherness, move the bread pieces from the chopping board to the wrapping paper.
- Mix garlic and butter together in a tiny container. For one minute, or until the butter has completely melted, place a loose lid over the entire surface. A little bit should fall between the slices when you brush the bread with the garlic butter. Ensure that the stuffed cheesy bread is completely covered with garlic mince. Add more parmesan cheese and the leftover pepperoni slices on top.
- Bake the cheesy garlic bread for fifteen minutes after enclosing it in foil. When the top of the bread begins to faintly brown, remove the wrapper and bake it for five minutes.
- Take out of your kitchen oven, top with basil, and deliver with extra pizza sauce on the side for scooping.
After everything is inside, cut the stuffed cheesy bread into thick pieces. Add a generous amount of garlic, pepperoni pieces, and parmesan cheese atop. Then bake it until the top is brown and the mixture is flowing.
At this stage, you can either cover everything again with foil and freeze it to present afterward, or you may top it with some chopped basil and crumbled red pepper.
Because these pepperoni appetizers can withstand being cooked through twice, it’s an absolute must-make for parties when you have a lot of preparation work to do or where you need to bring an extra dish along!
